A quiet day today with a Mediterranean Gull and at least five Little Gulls feeding off Hunmanby Gap and two Barnacle Geese at Filey Fields Farm. Yesterday (17th), a Mealy Redpoll was among birds trapped and ringed in Top Scrub, where there were also 70 Redwings, 60 Blackbirds, a Woodcock, 40 Fieldfare and threes of Brambling and Lesser Redpoll; a Lapland Bunting overflew the same site. Six Little Gulls were in the bay, 16 dark-bellied Brents went north and 35 Red-throated Divers went south.
