Overnight frosts and cold winds have dominated the last few days, with highlights today of 1000 Golden Plovers, 26 Whooper Swans, 95 Pink-footed Geese, a Great Northern Diver and two Snow Buntings south, with a further two Great Northern Divers in the bay. Yesterday (18th) saw a Waxwing heading south-west over the town (MJP) and 12 Whooper Swans south, with five Twite south at the Gap on 17th when a dark-bellied Brent Goose was on the Country Park and four Great Northern Divers went south. Two Stonechats remain in the Carr Naze area.
