Today’s highlight was a Spoonbill that frequented the Dams for a while this morning, while a pair of Long-tailed Ducks flew into the bay on 1st. Otherwise, thousands of Silver Y’s have been in the area over recent days, including a count of 927 in the northern coastal area on 2nd, when c500 were estimated north at the Gap; 320 were on Carr Naze the following day. Elsewhere it’s been business as usual, with e.g. a few Lapwing, Teal Redshank and Oystercatchers at the wetlands, and a few Painted Ladies (esp on Carr Naze).
