Most of the limited activity over the last couple of days has involved waders at East Lea and (particularly) the Dams, where the first Wood Sandpiper of the season dropped in on 4th. Back-up there has included Green Sandpipers (with a clear peak of seven on the evening of 4th), two Common Sandpipers, odd Black-tailed Godwits, up to five Dunlin and a Ringed Plover on 5th.

At the Tip, there were three Dunlin and a Green Sandpiper present yesterday, while a Marsh Harrier there and at East Lea is likely the recent long-staying juvenile. Small numbers of Painted Ladies are passing through the area, with up to ten yesterday, and a Hummingbird Hawkmoth was in a private garden today (CW).
