The restrictively strong cold northerly wind persists, with today’s highlights involving northbound fly-bys: 45 Arctic Terns and three Manxies passed the Gap, a cream-crown Marsh Harrier headed over the Top Fields, and a single Manxie passed the Brigg this morning. Assorted other reports included a Great Northern Diver south, Whinchats at the Rocket Pole Field and the Tip, three Wheatears (at least two of which were leucorhoa) on Carr Naze and one at the Gap, two Common Sandpipers at the Dams and a Garden Warbler in Parish Wood.
