Promising conditions over the last two days have yet to deliver much in the way of late spring scarcities, but new arrivals have included two Hobbies (one east over the Country Park, one hunting west of the Tip), a Little Egret in off at Carr Naze, a Wheatear at the Tip, 12 Black-tailed Godwits at East Lea and three Spotted Flycatchers today, while up to seven Whimbrels have been feeding in the Carr Naze area.

An Arctic Skua was the pick of the sea on 25th, but other than a handful of Manxies, a trickle of Sandwich Terns and the odd Red-throated Diver per day it’s been otherwise quiet.
