More incoming activity from northern and eastern climes (in wet, windy and challenging conditions) was headlined by a Pallas’s Warbler in Arndale this afternoon (MJP) in the company of a roving Goldcrest flock. A minimum of eight Mealy Redpolls were well scattered in the northern area, outnumbered by Ring Ouzels which reached at least 11, with seven keeping loose company along the southern hedge of Arndale. Single Long-eared and Short-eared Owls came in off at North Cliff, 650 Redwings, 130 Song Thrushes, 90 Blackbirds, 35 Fieldfares and six Mistle Thrushes were incoming or in situ, as were 45 Robins, 250 Goldcrests, ten Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps, a Redstart and a Lapland Bunting.
