A quieter few days in the area, with four Whooper Swans, 120 Pink-footed Geese, a Crossbill, a Brent Goose and two Buzzards all south over the town today, while the usual cast at the Dams and East Lea included a Black-tailed godwit, two Water Rails, three Chiffchaffs, 110 Wigeon and 11 Shoveler.

Yesterday (14th), a ‘Blue’ Fulmar went north and a Great Northern Diver was off the Brigg, where a Lapland Bunting came in off on 13th (JS); the same day saw 170 Pink-footed Geese south over Carr Naze and an impressive movement of Woodpigeons – 4475 south, 588 north – in the morning at the Gap, as well as 46 Siskins and two Snow Buntings south there.
