A single Velvet Scoter was the best of a quiet sea today, with a Woodcock on Carr Naze. A quality seawatch yesterday (23rd) morning in brisk northerlies produced a Little Auk, a Red-necked Grebe, five Sooty Shearwaters, three Scaup, five Great Northern Divers, two Pomarine Skuas, three Little Gulls, 10 Bonxies and a Mediterranean Gull among other counts (MJP, JS, CW), while two Snow Buntings remain on Carr Naze (both days).
