A Merlin came in off the sea and hunted over Carr Naze early afternoon, two Roseate Terns and – one of them or another later in the morning – were feeding off the Brigg, an adult Pomarine Skua and an Arctic Skua moved north, a Grey Plover and 14 Whimbrels were among waders on the move (also late morning), and the Dams continued to hold a strong cast of waders including a Wood Sandpiper, a Greenshank, 10 Snipe and six Black-tailed Godwits.
Yesterday (7th), a 1cy Yellow-legged Gull flew over the Brigg and settled in the bay, a Tree Pipit went south over carr Naze, a Minke Whale was feeding north of the Brigg, a Marsh Harrier went north over the Dams, and the wagtail cast in the Carr Naze Pond area included one White, one Grey, four Yellow and nine Pied.
