A productive sea yielded two Roseate Terns, two Velvet Scoters, three Sooty Shearwaters, five Bonxies, two Pomarine Skuas and 80 Common Scoters past this morning, as well as 5500 Gannets (and a Sooty) past the Gap. Yesterday (30th), a Black Tern, a Hobby, a Pomarine Skua and 50 Common Terns were the best of the sea, while the Curlew Sandpiper remained at East Lea.
On 29th, a Curlew Sandpiper arrived at East Lea (where, with the Dams, combined waders totals included seven Green Sandpipers), Reed and Garden Warblers were in Top Scrub, Whinchat and Stonechat were in the Rocket Pole Field, a Balearic Shearwater passed the Gap, and totals over the sea incuded 128 Teal, 12 Manx Shearwaters, 2000 Gannets (south), 74 Common Terns, a Black Tern and five Arctic Skuas.
