A very quiet start to the month was enlivened a little by the brief appearance of a Great Egret at the Dams this morning (for c15 mins only), with 47 Wigeon, two Shoveler, 32 Teal and a single Coot among other species appreciating the thaw there.
The Velvet Scoter and Great Northern Diver are still off the Brigg, with another Great Northern Diver north this morning as well as good numbers of Gannets and Fulmars offshore. On the Brigg, good wader numbers included 41 Ringed Plovers and 46 OPurple Sandpipers. 13 Yellowhammers were at the Country Park feeders, with small numbers of both Fieldfares and Redwings in the area.
