David Williams

We are sad to report the death of long-standing member David Williams.
David was involved in many early FBOG’s projects including Filey Dams and the building
of the new seawatching hide on the Brigg.
He was a keen birder and Recorder for the group in the 90’s. In 1996 he wrote
and published a book entitled ‘Bird-Watching in Filey’ which covered the early years
of the Group’s history.
For many years David proofread the Filey Bird & Wildlife Report, his grammatical skills
were excellent, and we will really miss his expertise when producing the next report.
A big loss for FBOG.
