On 1st two Great Northern Diver off Royal Parade, Red-necked Grebe close in, off north end of coble landing, 18 Sanderling Bay Corner, and two Velvet Scoters >N. At Filey Dams on 2nd Oz Shelduck & Shelduck mate and at East Lea a pair of Pochard. In the gull roost: 480 Herring Gull, 1,550 Common, 700 Black-headed and three Great Northern Divers. Still a flock of around 200 Linnets plus 3 Yellowhammer in Long Hedge and Short-eared Owl still Tip on 3rd. On 7th in Country Park field: one Knot, nine Turnstone, six Redshank and 57 Oystercatcher. 15 Golden Plover in North Cliff fields on 8th, and a single Redpoll Arndale. A Manx Shearwater north on 10th. On 12th 32 Shag flew north inshore at Hunmanby Gap. Eleven Great Crested Grebes off Martin’s Ravine on 13th. A flock of 31 Red-throated Divers north past the Brigg on 14th. A Chiffchaff on Muston Road on 16th. The Carr Naze cliffs were loaded with Guillemot and many Fulmar. On 19th 45 Sanderlings in the seafront-paddling pool area. A Blackcap in a back garden of Wooldale Drive. 51 Linnet and 32 Skylark were on Top Field. On 21st 13 Ringed Plover on Brigg. A female Merlin south at Hunmanby Gap on 26th. 10 Common Scoter off paddling pool on 31st.
